Can a claim still be made if the policy documents are lost?   

 

If you lose your policy documents then simply contact your Insurance Company or Broker and they'll send a 'Lost Policy Claim Form'.

Policy documents frequently do go astray, but it's your policy and you can still make a claim. If you do not know the name of the Insurance Company then the best thing to do is contact the policyholder's Bank, as they will have a record of which company the monthly premiums have been paid to.

Once you've identified the Insurer, contact them by telephone and they will send you a Lost Policy Claim Form to complete - from then on it should be plain sailing!
