If you need to make a complaint to a life insurance Company you should write to their
Compliance Director.
You will be provided with full details of how to complain within the booklet issued to
you by your insurer. This booklet will have been sent to you in the post when you applied
for your insurance.
The insurance company will consider your complaint and they will be reply in writing explaining
the results of their investigations.
If you are not satisfied with their reply and you are financially worse off as a result
of your dealings with the insurance company, you can refer your case to the Financial Ombudsman
Service. They will complete another independent investigation, and the results of their
investigation and their recommendations, including any compensation, are usually binding
for both you and the insurance company.
