Can I contact the Credit Reference Agencies?    

Yes. You can contact them online, by phone or by post. You can then order a copy of the data that the credit agency holds about you. A statutory cost for your own credit report is £2 and the agency cannot refuse your request. If a lender has rejected you, first check which credit reference agency they use.
